About us

The International Academy of Moderation Scholars is an international scholarly body established under its statute of 2017, following the recommendation of the eighth International Sufism Conference in Istanbul to create a global academy devoted to teaching the Islamic sciences and heritage in their scholarly form. It is a registered charity in the United Kingdom (no. 1171458), its general secretariat has an office in Istanbul, and it has branches in several countries.

Our mission

• Spreading the values of love and peace through knowledge and its people.
• Reviving the scholarly heritage of the early scholars and uniting the voice of the scholars of the Ummah.
• Developing scholarly activity and organising conferences, forums, study camps and cultural and educational events throughout the year.

Our work

The International Sufism Conference in its successive editions (the tenth in Morocco, May 2023, with scholars and researchers from dozens of countries), the International Forum on Sufi Thought of Sheikh Maa al-Aynayn in cooperation with the Sheikh Maa al-Aynayn Foundation for Science and Heritage, and the Higher International Certificate awarded in recognition of the Ummah’s scholarly figures.
